HOME COOKED

HALLOOOOO! We're on a roll here with updating our Gallery... :D More ideas and this time YUMMY layouts, cards and mini album by ISSA LUCIDO. A runner up of the Philippine Scrapbook Idol 2008 and one of our new DTs, Issa's scrapbook style grabbed my attention with her mix of techniques and well-balanced layouts. I asked Issa to create as many layouts, cards and mini album with the April 2009's kit, HOME COOKED, and she didn't disappoint! :D

Famous Lumpiang Ubod...
Materials used:
Adorn It pps- Aunt Mame Collection (Red lined paper and Recipe Jumble)
Moxxie recipe card
Cardstocks orange and black
ribbons
lace
ric rac
eyelets
AC Slick writer pen
Faber Castell watercolor pencils
Moxxie letter rubons
MME card and frame
Jolee stickers
Steps:
1. Get the left 6x6 recipe jumble pps, put double sided tapes on 3 sides of the pps, leaving the top area open. That will serve as a pocket.
2. Punch 6 holes on the right portion. 2 holes about half and inch apart, then follow it downwards. Secure eyelets, then tie the orange ricrac on the first set of eyelet, followed by some red lace, then green ribbon.
3. Write the recipe on a recipe card. Mat a small photo. Then insert them on the pocket.4. Adhere a 4R photo on the MME frame then mat it with black cardstock. Adhere the matted photo on top of the made pocket.
4. Insert a card on the right side of the matted photo, journal here.
5. Put rubon letters on the upper left portion of the page. Using a slick writer pen, draw a cloud like image around your title. Use a watercolor pencil and just color the inside of the cloud. Then get a wet paint brush and just spread the watercolor in a going in motion, making a fading effect.
6. Write a subtitle on top of the rubons. Then embellish it with some more stickers.

My Sweet Life...

Materials Used:
Pink Paisley- Fascinating pps
Adorn It, Anne Mame Coolection- Recipe JumbleDelightfyl-Sweet Baby Shower, A Girl is frame
cardstock-black and orange
Moxxie letter rubons
ribbons
laces
buttons
DMC thread
Brillance fluid chalk ink
Potholder

Steps:
1. Cut 10 x 6 inches of Adorn It-Recipe Jumble pps, then distress all 4 sides using a paper distresser or a scissor. Apply ink on all sides.
2. Mat small photos with orange cardstock and the big one with black. Get the Delightful frame and just simple squeeze out the big photo.
3. Adhere the pps on the upper right area of the Pink Paisley pps for the base paper.
4. Assemble and adhere your photos on top of the 10x6 pps.
5. Sew all sides of the base pps with red embroider thread.
6. Get 3 kinds of ribbons or laces, measure 2 1/2 inches each and fold into two, then sew them on the upper right corner of the 10x6 pps. Secure it with buttons.
7. Stamp on the lower right corner of the base pps... that will serve as the journaling area too.
8. Use Moxxie rubon letters for your title adjusten from the stamped area.
9. Embellish with Jolee stickers and potholder brad.


Fine Dining...
Materials Used:
Moxxie- Table Service pps and Home Cooked pps
Cardstocks- white, red, black
Delightful cardstock bracket card
Orange ricrak
eyelets
K & Company Letters to go
MM acrylic paint
Moxxie letter rubons
black pen for doodling
Potholder brad
Steps:
1. Measure 1 inch on all sides of the Table Service pps, then cut it leaving the center open. Set aside center fall out pps.
2. Adhere it on a white cardstock.
3. Get a 76x 8 1/2 inches piece of Home Cooked pps. Distress and apply ink on all 4 sides. Adhere it on the center of the base paper. Punch two eyelets on the top left area and another pair on the lower right area.
4. Mat your photos with black and red cardstocks. Adhere the big one on top of the Home Cooked pps and the smaller one on the lower left side of the photo.
5. With a foam brush, simply run a stroke of beige acrylic paint on the upper right area of the layout. Let it completely dry up before topping it with Moxxie letter rubons.
6. Use a black pen to doodle on the inner portion of the cut frame pps... it gives a highlight effect on the page.
7. Write journaling on the bracket card and adhere slanting under the smaller photo.
8. Embellish your page with K & Company letters to go, potholder brad and some rikraks on the eyelet holes and make a neat knot.



Look Who's Cooking...
Materials Used:
Round scrapped pps
Moxxie-Homecooked pps
Adorn It-Anne Mame Collection, Recipe Jumble
Pots brads
Pompom red lace
cardstock red
Moxxie rubon letters
Colorbox gold ink
Brillance ink red
glittered glue
Ranger Glossy Accents
Prima flowers
MM silver brads
Steps:
1. Mat your photo with red cardstock, distress all sides with paper distresser or scissors, then apply gold ink all around.
2. Cut 2 strips of pps (Recipe Jumble and Home cooked). Adhere pompom lace at one side of the home cooked pps. Distress and ink one side of the Recipe Jumble pps
3. Cut 4 designed flowers at the back of Home Cooked pps. Using your cutter, cut the inner petals of the 2 cutout flowers.
4. Adhere the 2 pps on the left side of the base, then followed by the 2 photos. Embellish it with the cutout flowers, prima red flowers and brads on the lower left area. Put a pot brad on the top part of the Home Cooked pps and another on the buttom part.
5. Diecut your titles with red cardstock and top it with Ranger glossy accents to get an epoxy effect. Adhere them under the photos, then use Moxxie rubon letters for the lower title.

Sweet Life
1. Cut 7x10 pps and fold into half for the base of the card.
2. Cut 2 1/2 x 5 pps and adhere on the top portion of the card.
3. Adhere ricrak ribbon on the buttom part of the red pps to cover the edges.
4. Stamp on the buttom left side of the card.
5. Embellish with flowers. In this design, I made a strip flower and topped it a little diecut flower and a button.
6. Cut our mini letters for the sub title...


Thanks
1. Cut 7 x10 cardstock for the base of the card.
2. Cut 4 x6 pps and use a corner rounder on all sides. If you have a corner rounder, you can trace a coin and just cut it.
3. Paper tear a strip and adhere in the upper portion of the card. Then attach a pompom lace on top of the strip pps.
4. Hand cut a design of flowers in one of the pps and adhere them on top of the strip paper using foam tapes.
5. Use rubon letter on the right buttom part of the card.
