Aloha!

Aloha and welcome to our Scrapbooks Hawaii Design Team blog. We are very excited to feature projects and layouts by our very talented Design Team members both from the Philippines and Hawaii.

Our very first featured Design Team member is COOKIE AGUILAR. Cookie is the reigning Scrapbook Idol in the Philippines. She is designing for several manufacturers and online stores. She loves to scrapbook her family especially her little boy, Harvey.

Cookie played with our Scrapbooks Hawaii March Kit, POCKET OF SUNSHINE and created 4 layouts, 3 cards and 1 mini album. Please see them below with corresponding instructions.
Title: Why?
Instructions:
1. Get Cherished diecut paper (MME) and cut a rectangle across the page.
2. Save the cut rectangle for future page..
3. Get True Teal Bazzill cardstock. Cut a size a little larger that the previous rectangle taken from the Diecut shaped paper. Use a border punch (I used Fiskars Sunburst) to give design to one side of the light blue cardstock.
4. Rub a little paint (black) around the picture to serve as matting or frame.
5. Get the Memory Lane (Sassafras) paper. You need the backside of this paper, but be careful not to cut the girl on bike, red flower on the lower right hand corner and the ducks on the lower left hand corner. Place this piece on top of the True Teal cardstock for another layer....
6. Take the Falling Leaves (MME) and cut out small curves to resemble as hills and layer it on the page.
7. Cut a tree shape from Pink Paislee's Adorable patterned paper.
8. Get the Falling Leaves (MME) patterned paper and cut out a couple of leaves from it (around 7 to 8) to be attached to the branches of the tree.
9. For the title... i use black pen to doodle around the Life At The Pole (Sassfras) alphaletters.
10 I also use crop-a-dile to place holes in the sides of the pics. then I used the kit's ribbons to add accent.
11. Got a 3d paint (pebeo - which i love to use) and doodled dots around the True Teal cardstock. 12. The Sassafras papers comes in with decorative edges.... I got 1 of the edges of the Memory Lane patterned paper and layered it on top of the picture and hills (to resemble a layer of flowers on my page).
